Job Description

The Utilization Coordinator reviews monthly spreadsheet data for correct pricing and utilization of services for all capitation accounts, including patient eligibility and equipment audits. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 
  • Identifies payer changes and works with branches / billing to resolve. 
  • Maintains data on all transition accounts and completes within timeframe.
  • Generates paperwork necessary for billing, distribution of supplies and equipment and recurring revenue for system entry and billing.
  • Logs clinical notes, copy and forward pertinent information for reimbursement documents to Regional Reimbursement Center.
  • Generates necessary reports and communicate authorization expirations with appropriate department.

Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalency. Must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. One year of DME/home health experience preferred. Knowledge in excel spreadsheets preferred.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.
