Job Description

Job Responsibilities – (From Job Description)
Processes insurance claims correctly and promptly.  Performs collection calls and follows up on aging accounts.  Notifies supervisor of problem accounts.  Anticipates, notifies, and coordinates with center staff when documentation will be needed.  Performs billing for secondary insurance and /or patient.  Submits appropriate documentation for adjustments, write-offs, or bad debt to supervisor.  Coordinates with supervisor re: hardware/software issues.  Other duties, as assigned.
Required Education/Certifications (From Job Description)
High school diploma or GED equivalency.  Minimum of two years reimbursement and/or insurance experience preferred.  Infusion, Home Health, or DME experience preferred.  Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements (From Job Description)
Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping , and crouching.  Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.  Must be able to occasionally lift 10 pounds.
Required Skills/Traits
Reports for work on time daily.  Comply with all policies and procedures.  Demonstrates reliability and follow-through on all assigned tasks.  Ability to communicate effectively & express ideas clearly.  Plan & organize work effectively and maintain expected productivity.
Desired Skills/ Traits
Knowledge of Medicare DME helpful.
