Job Description

The Rehab Custom Equipment Technician is primarily responsible for assembly and set up of complex rehab products and equipment.  This position may also help assist in final fittings, complex rehab programming and technical assistance.  This includes troubleshooting for wheelchairs and other various rehab products; scooters, lifts, bath equipment, standers, and safety beds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 
  1. Assembly of complex rehab products and equipment.
  2. Set-up of complex rehab products and equipment per ATP Specifications and confirm accuracy and completeness.
  3. May be expected to help ATP/PT staff with final fittings for complex rehab modification or programming, depending on assignment.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.  
  • Vendor education specific to Complex rehab equipment
  • If in an assignment that may require driving, must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be 21 years of age or older.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word.
