Job Description

The Compliance Director’s primary role is to influence the organization’s processes and practices towards compliance with all regulations that apply to our durable medical equipment and respiratory business line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Manage and lead the Compliance program, measure its effectiveness, and recommend program improvements to the Compliance Committee.
  • Assure the Compliance program effectively prevents and/or detects violations of laws, regulations, company policies, and the Codes of Conduct.
  • Conduct quarterly internal audits of Medicare accounts.
  • Coordinate applicable policies and procedures, the Codes of Conduct, and employee training on ethics and compliance.
  • Communicate to all employees, agents, and affiliated partners of Codes of Conduct and the Compliance program’s expectations and responsibilities.
  • Manage the Compliance program’s auditing and monitoring activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree and ten plus (10+) years related experience.
  • Strong analytical and perseverance in investigating required.
  • A thorough understanding of the durable medical equipment and respiratory business is required.
  • Experience and understanding of applicable healthcare laws.
  • Thorough knowledge of Medicare guidelines is also required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages the Compliance team of one.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
