Job Description

The Assistive Technology Professional specifies custom assistive technology to meet the mobility needs of our patients their physicians, and clinicians.  Plays a key role in improving the quality of life of those we serve with mobility, independence and positioning, and supporting the health plans we contract with locally.  This position is based in our Lakewood Colorado office.  
Responsibilities include:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with medical providers, rehab/hospital facilities and other referral sources.
  • Evaluates customers for Rehab equipment needs, delivers and fits equipment, and assures that the customer’s functional goals are met.
  • Completes sales orders in a timely manner ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete, may assists in obtaining required documentation
  • Responds to customer and referral inquiries, requests and complaints in a timely manner. 
  • Assists in the education of customer service and delivery staff regarding the proper use, selection and servicing of Rehab Technology products.
  • Meets or exceeds revenue goals related to position, manages formulary adherence while meeting patient medical need
  • Maintains certifications and licenses; obtaining all required continuing education annually to assure no lapse in coverage; stays abreast of funding requirements and technological advances within the Rehab Technology industry
Qualifications
  • Current Assistive Technology Professional RESNA certification required
  • Must have valid driver’s license and
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in the durable medical equipment industry required; 2-5 years of experience in the Complex Rehab Industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Clinician (OT, PT, COTA, PTA, RN) or health related degree preferred
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
